Moody's Affirms Idaho's AAA Rating

BOISE - Moody’s Ratings (Moody’s) has affirmed the State of Idaho’s Aaa issuer rating and related bond ratings, maintaining a stable outlook across all programs reviewed. The affirmed ratings include the Idaho School Bond Sales Tax Guaranty Program, Idaho Bond Bank Authority (IBBA) revenue bonds, Transportation Expansion and Congestion Mitigation (TECM) bonds, and Idaho State Building Authority (ISBA) school modernization facilities bonds.

 

“This reaffirmation highlights the strength of Idaho’s economy and the sound financial management that protects our taxpayers,” said State Treasurer Julie Ellsworth. “By keeping Idaho’s top-tier rating, we ensure continued confidence in our state’s fiscal stability and investment quality.”

 

The ratings reflect Idaho’s strong credit position, supported by continued economic and population growth, healthy finances, and low leverage and fixed costs.
